Mountains have really effected my life, particularly the past couple of years as my photography has evolved. Looking up at the peaks, spires and broken remnants, I feel small, humbled and inspired. There is a mystery and awe in the midst of these giants, a sense of being in the presence of something eternal and much greater than ourselves. A spiritual connection, if you will. Fiordland is a very wet part of the world, particularly as you follow the valleys closer to the sea. Fortunately, it’s in the rain when these parts look best. This was captured during a downpour, lying across some rocks with a towel over my head and camera.
