Whoa, 4 months since my last blog post. Time has seemingly flown by lately. As much has photography has been close to my heart, my attention has been elsewhere as Renee and I have been preparing for our first child to enter the world. After 40 weeks of pregnancy, I am overwhelmed with joy to say that on Sunday November 23 at 12:23pm, our son Judah was born.
It is one week since his birth and I thought I would just take a few minutes to write some thoughts down and share some of my latest images.
There is no way I could assemble the right words to explain the last 7 days. All I know is that I am so honoured, I am content and ever so grateful for everything and everyone in my life. As I look in to little Judah’s eyes I see the past 7 amazing years that I have spent with my wife, all the adventures and travels, tears and laughter. I also see a future full of so much potential and hope and many incredible moments to come. My goals and purpose in life haven’t changed since his arrival, if anything, they have become clearer and more defined.
My life already feels like it has moved so fast and I have no doubt it will continue to feel that way.
Photography will continue to help me slow down and remember the special moments. One sunrise at a time, each day continues to bring new opportunities to grow and appreciate what I have in my life. I am ever mindful of those who have less and would like to give back more in 2015. We live in a society that thrives on excess but as I have spent the last week off work and will also be home this week with my little family, I am really being reminded that it is the simplest things in life that are the greatest.
I have a few shots I am currently working on but here are a few that I have captured over the last several weeks.
Thanks for stopping by my blog, hope you enjoy these images. WP
