Vivid – Sydney
Once per year the city of Sydney comes alive with an array of vibrant neon lights. This workshop concentrates on low light photography and long exposures, capturing the highlights of Vivid from sunset right into the night.
Overview/What to Expect
Vivid is an annual light and technology festival in Sydney which transforms the city into a vibrant wonderland of sound and colour, creating a unique opportunity to capture special images of one of the world’s most beautiful cities.
This workshop will commence at sunset allowing for a golden opportunity to watch the sun go down behind the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge. Once the fleeting light of dusk has faded we will go to some of the best hot-spots in the city as the lights of Vivid transform the night.
The focus of this night will be on how to effectively shoot clean, eye-catching images in adverse, low light conditions. During the evening I will take you to some of my favourite areas of the city, sharing my personal techniques for night photography and shooting long exposures.
If you already understand some of the basics of photography but want to take things to the next level and really make your images ‘pop’ then this is the workshop for you.
