Reflecting back on 2013, I don’t think I could pick a favorite photo in particular. Most photographs that I’ve made public are special to me in one way or another. In the last 12 months I’ve traveled to so many new places and experienced countless adventures, witnessing sights that have forever changed me as a person.

Photography has pushed me mentally and physically as I’ve learned not only about nature but also about myself. I’m thankful for all the memories shared with friends, family and new acquaintances. I believe I would have witnessed over 320 sunrises over the last year, most of which I was alone whilst amongst raw nature. No word or photo can explain how these moments have shaped me for the better and I am deeply grateful to have had so many experiences.

I want to thank my wife for her endless love and dedication. Renee, you are the brightest of all sunrises, the joy of my heart. Thank you for being more than I deserve, you make me be a better man.

Above all I thank the one true God, the creator and sustainer of all things. Every click of my camera’s shutter is, and always will be for Him – my eyes to see, my reason to live.

And lastly, thank you dear viewer for supporting my passion and hobby. I hope to keep growing as a photographer and expressing myself through this art. I leave you with a photo I captured in Yosemite California back in August. If there was an image from the past 12 months that comes close to representing my thoughts and words, this is it.
