Valley Of Fire
An apocalyptic sky and an expansive valley of glacial peaks and temperate forest. This one left an impression. Single exposure, as usual.

Two Towers
A location that I’m quite sentimental about, as this is where I spent much of my early days of photography before moving to New Zealand. I must’ve seen well over 100 sunrises here and taught many, many workshops over the years. Cathedral Rocks, a place that boasts many compositional options and has been a real joy to work with for almost 15 years. After all this time, I was still inspired and excited to photograph here, especially after such a long time between visits. I shared this morning with my daughter and I was a little emotional thinking about my life and all that led me to this particular point. I’m thankful to have this image to help me freeze the moment in time.

The Fall Of Light
A special location in some special conditions. I waited some time for this sun alignment and the right weather window. Spontaneous photography is generally favourite but planned shoots like this are also greatly rewarding, when everything comes together and the vision becomes reality.
This image is part of my tutorial series, as a ‘start to finish’ lesson where you see the planning, execution and post processing workflow to create this piece. You can check it out here.
