At Peace
Many miles from the nearest road, we wandered for hours following these pristine waters as they coursed through the forested mountainside. These are some of my fondest times and memories.

Rage
A moment of beautiful rage, in the narrowest part of the fiord during an immense storm. We clocked wind gusts up at 130km/h on this day. A power and fury I won’t forget.

Wrath
As a professional landscape photographer living in Fiordland, it’s safe to say I’ve visited Milford Sound my fair share of times. Of the hundreds of visits and countless storms, this is one that has left the strongest impression. As 130km/h wind gusts funnelled the fiord, the surface of the sea was uplifted and mingled with rain and waterfalls that ascended into the heavens. A truly humbling display of the sublime.

Enter Paradise
A multi-day photography trip where we walked many miles in the wilderness, exploring and being completely immersed in an untamed paradise. This is where I’m closest to the creator.

Wonder
A special area where pristine waters flow and carve their way through the mountains, from snow to sea. This scene was found after several hours of hiking and wading in wondrous awe.

Arms Of The Forest
Golden yellow leaves are sprinkled throughout the canopy of the Silver Beech during autumn, which makes for a vibrant contrast against the green forest. The contorted branches of the silver beech are one of my favourite elements in the natural world. This frame is my attempt at showing the beauty of the trees as well as this lovely waterfall on the coast.

The Fall Of Light
A special location in some special conditions. I waited some time for this sun alignment and the right weather window. Spontaneous photography is generally favourite but planned shoots like this are also greatly rewarding, when everything comes together and the vision becomes reality.

Cascade Bridge
A special place where hidden waters course through the deep depths of the forested mountains. A delicate moss covered arch frames up this spectacular falls. Words or images fail to portray its really beauty. You just need to be there, absorbed in the moment.

Affinity
Since childhood, I’ve had an affinity for waterfalls. I love the anticipation that builds, hearing the trickle and roar of the water long before the fall is visible. This, like many I visit, is tucked away in the shadows of the mountains. Waiting for wanderers to pass by and enjoy a moment in its presence.
