– Emotion –
A Key Ingredient For Great Photography
Just like life in general, your photography journey will take many twists and turns. Particulalry as a beginner, it is easy to become fixated on the technical aspects and ‘how-to’ achieve certain results. As time goes on, you may find yourself more goal orientated as you strive to create certain images or capture certain places.
Over the years, I’ve found that whether I was right at the start of my career, or even in more recent times, I am most content when I’m in the moment, feeling something out there in nature. Any image is a byproduct of the emotions I experienced at the time. This makes me think that ultimately, it’s emotion that I’m pursuing and ultimately find contentment in. I think this is worth exploring for yourself. What is it that really stirs you within? What drives or excites you?
Please check out this video for more of a breakdown on these thoughts.
