            At Peace
Many miles from the nearest road, we wandered for hours following these pristine waters as they coursed through the forested mountainside. These are some of my fondest times and memories.

            Redirect
When it comes to capturing the forest and woodlands, it pays to take it slow. The more you look, the more you see. I’ve never quite seen a fern frond do something like this before.

            Twist
Light (and shade) is everything in photography, particularly when it comes to tree and woodland photography. For a brief window in time, this small pocket of native woods was incredibly inspiring as the soft light of dusk delicately painted this gum forest beside Lake Macquarie.

            Affinity
Since childhood, I’ve had an affinity for waterfalls. I love the anticipation that builds, hearing the trickle and roar of the water long before the fall is visible. This, like many I visit, is tucked away in the shadows of the mountains. Waiting for wanderers to pass by and enjoy a moment in its presence.

            The Light We Seek
On a grey morning I took my boat across the lake and took to the hills, in order to ascend to where the light touched the cloud. After a few kms hiking, I found myself immersed in the beautiful transition where sun pierced the foggy veil.
