Fantails
Fleeting light in the native forest, as two fantails (Piwakawaka) decided to flit and flutter all around me, eventually making their way into my frame. I was incredibly surprised and elated to experience such a moment and I’m always eager to incorporate wildlife into my landscape scenes when possible. You can see the behind the scenes shoot over on my Youtube.

Larakin
A juvenile Kea, with a cheeky expression, watching me curiously as I climbed up a tree to share in this moment.
A portion of print sales from any Kea image goes toward the Kea Conservation Trust – helping protect these beautiful, endangered creatures.
