 One of the most popular yet misunderstood lenses in landscape photgoraphy, is the ultra-wide angle. Generally speaking, an ultra-wide lens covers a focal range from 24mm and wider. Common lenses include 12-24mm, 14-24,, and 16-35mm but there are many zoom options and primes to choose from.

Using an ultra-wide lens is all about having the right subject matter, being close to that subject matter and particularly incorporating and being very close to effective foreground elements.
