Fall With Me
A hidden waterfall tucked away beneath the mountains. I’d shared this location with friends when I created this image, as the gorgeous winter light crept into the canyon. Upon returning a month later, I discovered a landslide had caused trees to fall and the whole area is now quite destroyed. Nature gives and takes.

The Gift Of A New Day
One of earths wettest places, on the far coastal reaches of the southern fiords. I fell in love with this particular pocket of the fiord many years ago, with each visit bringing different moods and light. This time, we were greeted with a light show to remember, with the sun rising behind us and alighting the entirety of the sky for the briefest of moments.

Companion
A juvenile Kea intrigued by my presence. We shared the sunset together, alone in the glorious valley. For me, not much compares to aligning this endangered animal with its natural environment. A thrill and experience that can’t ever be replicated by AI or exposure blending. This is the real deal and a special moment I truly cherish. Although they’re always curious and far from shy, this Kea wasn’t too sporadic in its movement, allowing me to shoot a slower shutter speed in order to streak the water flow. High in the mountains, during a thunderstorm as rain fell and clouds swirled in the gusty winds. The thunder reverberated so loud in the valley below. Trees emerged out of the mysterious mist. The greens were saturated in the fading light.
