Vanguard
Innumerable moments like this pass by in the wilderness, without a single eye witnessing it. On this particular afternoon, I was a grateful bystander, as shadow and light danced across the land.

Departure
As a new day dawns and a veil of cloud slowly rises to the heavens. This was the brief moment in-between.

Gateway To The Light
One of those moments you simply come across at the exact right moment, just in time to take it in and watch it vanish a few seconds after pressing the shutter.

The Way Of Light
The most magnificent of light is found at the clearing of a storm, right as the sun sinks down to the horizon.
Fiordland, New Zealand (2021)
Glow Of The Dawn
There's not much that compares to being greeted by a red glow on the horizon, as you peer out of your tent in the early hours of the morning. As the water boils for your coffee, the light slowly spreads and ignites the entire sky. A wilderness show like no other.

I Am Here
Sometimes in life, we seek for something even though the answers are often right in front of us. At a certain point in my life, coming across this scene was the assurance I needed most.
Fiordland, New Zealand (2021)

Mountain Friend
This was an amazing and intimate encounter, with this Kea perfectly posing for me in front of this grand scene. Captured at 16mm and focus stacking for the infinite depth of field.

Westland
A view showcasing the unique environment of Te Wahipounamu, where lowland forest rises from sea level to tall, glaciated mountains. I found this viewpoint a couple of years earlier, but it took several visits for the right atmosphere and light to come together. Aoraki/Mt Cook is centre of frame under dawn skies.
West Coast, New Zealand (2021)
Moonrise
A spectacular sight, captured from a plane at 9000ft as the setting sun cast its light upon the face of Mt Aspiring and the rising moon.
Mount Aspiring, New Zealand (2021)
King Of The Mountains
An image of my favourite animal, the mischievous and endangered mountain parrot, the Kea. Photographed here in its natural habitat, beside towering mountains, waterfalls and beautiful Fiordland forest. Although they usually prefer to be eating my camera gear, vehicle (or anything prohibited), this fellow proudly posed 2 feet in front of me. Thank you mate!

Resolution
Fiordland is a place where no two days are ever the same, an expansive landscape of shifting shadows and fleeting light. This image was captured from the air late one summer’s afternoon as the sun casts its final rays of light over Dusky Sound. Another rare and elusive moment hidden from the rest of the world and experienced only by a select few who may have had the pleasure of calling this place home for a short window in time

Shore Of The Ancients
Along a stretch of desolate and remote coastline, this perfect family of resilient towers arise on the the shore. There’s been several attempts but three years on after my friend Marc Adamus and I first discovered this location, I was finally able to capture something here that provides a glimpse of the majesty of this lost coast.

Very early on a summers morning, whilst most people were still in bed, we watched in awe as this wondrous scene unfolded high above the mountains.

Until The Very End
Ancient ruins located in one of the NZ’s most remote areas. Battered and scarred by regular storms and raging seas, these towers refuse to fall.

Winters Embrace
A handful of times each year, we receive a greeting of snow down to the lake level at 200m. I much prefer the mountains when they’re clothed in white. On this morning, the cloud began to part in fleeting intervals, allowing for sunlight to briefly kiss the cold landscape.
