Landscape photographers are always watching the sky. Light is everything and cloud plays a vital role in backing, revealing and catching light. Sunsets like these are relatively rare but can be forecasted in advance and it’s quite the elation when the high cloud eventually ignites. It’s spectacular shows like this which seems to turn everyone into a photographer, with most people talking about it days after. I have many great memories of witnessing such skies.
