It’s a special sight to behold, seeing the lush rainforest and beech trees covered in fresh snow. The leaves of the silver beech aren’t much larger than your fingernail, so only a thin coat of snow can be held by these mossy creatures. The slightest increase in temperatures will soon see the snow disappear, usually before midday. It’s quite common for these old trees to fall down after decent snow fall, due to the shallow root system and frailty of the damp trunks.
